Miss Roxy was the resident Akita from Oct 2000 - March 2011. She was AKC Registered Imperial's It's A Rocky Road, CGC. She was shown for a 2 yrs, she was pointed but unfinished, and retired from showing to be a pet. She was so smart and very bonded to me. I was her only person. She was good with the rest of family and friends. She was not a big fan of other dogs, even though she had been shown, past her CGC and attended train class early on. She rarely barked, but when she did, you really needed to look into the reason why. Point in case: She saved a neighbor's life when she woke us and alerted at the living room. Upon looking out the window we discovered that the neighbor's mini van, parked on a inclined driveway, had some how become engaged either into Neutral or Reverse and was in the process of running the driver over. My husband at the time, ran out and assisted the neighbor, putting the vehicle in park and help them to their feet making sure they didn't need any medical assistance. On March 18th, 2011 at 6pm our beloved Roxy passed away. Roxy was my muses for my web design I started in 2000, she was my best friend and confidant for 11 yrs. and our house is empty without her here now. I feel lost without her.
